Odette Rwigamba, B.A., LL.B.
Odette Rwigamba obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa – Faculty of Law in 2002 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2003. She practices primarily in family law, including representation of parents in child protection matters, Immigration law including refugee and detentions matters, Real Estate and Civil litigation. She also provides representation before several administrative tribunals.
In addition to representing and advising her clients in, Odette devotes time working with community based NGOs in Ottawa and outside Canada. Odette was one of the founding lawyers of a legal clinic for Ottawa Immigrant Service in 2007, and she has continued to support this organization in providing information to women and children who are victims of domestic violence. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and County Carleton Law Association. Odette has served as a Board Member and a school Council for Ottawa School Boards, and she is currently sitting as a Board of Director with the Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre.
Aside from vigorously representing her clients, Odette loves to spend time with her husband, her wonderfully children, friends and her very big and loving family in Canada and around the world.
